Transfers
The transfer market, reached from the Transfers item in the sidebar, is a single global market: every club can list, bid and buy, whether or not you are currently in an active league season.
Unsold still costs
The listing fee is charged the moment you list, and it is not refunded if the player comes back unsold.
Selling a player
Open a player in your squad and use the Sell button on their profile to set a starting price. A player who has announced retirement cannot be listed. While listed, a player shows a € badge and their attributes become visible to everyone.
Releasing a player
The Release button removes a player from your squad for good and charges the release fee. There's a small chance a released player reappears as a free agent starting at 0 €; if nobody bids, they're gone. A player who has announced their retirement never comes back.
Bidding
The first bid sits at the starting price and makes you the highest bidder; every bid after raises the price by the increment above and passes the lead on. You cannot bid on your own player or outbid yourself. The amount of your leading bid is deducted from your available balance immediately. If another club outbids you, that amount is refunded automatically; if you win, it is the transfer payment.
Not while you are playing
You cannot list or release a player while your team has a league match in progress. Bidding on other clubs' players is always allowed, though.
How deals settle
Every listing on the market settles at once, on the same cycle as training and finances: the highest bidder takes the player and the seller gets the held bid amount. An unsold listing simply returns to its club (an unsold free agent is gone for good). Completed deals are recorded on the Team view's Transfer history tab. While the deals are being settled the market is briefly closed: bids, new listings and releases wait until it reopens, so nothing can land on a deal that is already being settled.
