Cup

Every season also has a knockout cup for the clubs managers run (bots never enter), as long as there are at least two of them. Each tie is a single match: the winner goes through to the next round, the loser is out.

The draw

The bracket is drawn when the season starts. When the field does not fill it exactly, the best-placed clubs (the higher divisions first) skip one or more opening rounds, so every later round splits cleanly. The rounds are numbered (Round 1, Round 2 and so on) until the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Final. When the rounds are played is under One calendar in Competitions.

Neutral venues

Every tie is played at a neutral venue: neither side has home advantage, and the gate money is split between the two clubs.

Extra time and shootouts

A tie must have a winner. If it is level after 60 minutes, two halves of 5 minutes of extra time follow, and if it is still level, a 7 metre shootout decides it: five attempts each, taken by five different players, then sudden death. The shootout does not change the score, so a tie can read 27–27, 5–4 on penalties.

Prize

The cup pays its winner: 10,000 EUR in the entry division, scaled by the division the winner plays in (the same multipliers as the league), arriving when the final is decided and shown as a cup prize. It is deliberately worth less than a league title: a cup run is a handful of ties against a champion's eighteen matches, and the league is the competition.
